COD E-Commerce Order Confirmation and GPS Location Sharing
EnvoiSMS.ma's WhatsApp Business API allows online stores in Morocco (YouCan, Shopify, Dropify, WooCommerce) to automate the confirmation of cash on delivery orders and the collection of geolocation.
1. How the confirmation flow works
As soon as an order is registered on your online store:
- Your back office triggers the sending of an interactive WhatsApp message containing the basket details.
- The customer receives 3 quick response buttons:
- [✅ Confirm]: Validates the order for preparation.
- [📍 Share Position]: Invites the customer to drop their GPS pin.
- [❌ Cancel]: Cancels the order with no shipping costs incurred.
2. Collecting GPS location (Pin Drop)
The customer can send their geographic location by clicking on the WhatsApp attachments menu > *Location*.
- API extracts
latitude,longitude, location name and address. - A Google Maps route link (
https://maps.google.com/?q=lat,lng) is generated and transmitted to your webhook for injection into the delivery ERP.
3. Tracking Webhooks
Real-time events are output to your system:
order.confirmed: When the buyer clicks on confirm.order.cancelled: When the buyer cancels.message.location: Containing the exact GPS coordinates of the recipient.
