What format should I use for Moroccan numbers?

Always use the international E.164 format: +212 followed by the number without the leading 0.

Example: the local number 06 61 23 45 67 becomes +212661234567.

Common Moroccan mobile prefixes

  • IAM (Maroc Telecom): +212 661–662, 666–668, 670–678, 700
  • Orange Maroc: +212 63X, 69X (depending on allocated ranges)
  • Inwi: +212 65X, 68X (depending on assigned ranges)

The carrier is automatically detected by our system at the time of sending thanks to an HLR lookup, which allows optimal direct routing to the correct network — you do not need to specify it manually.

Invalid numbers

A poorly formatted number (prefix 0 not removed, space, missing code) will be rejected before sending with an explicit error message, in order to avoid any unnecessary billing.
