Why do I need to register a Sender ID?
In Morocco, the ANRT (National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency) and the three national operators (Maroc Telecom, Inwi, Orange Maroc) require that any alphanumeric sender name (Sender ID) be formally declared and registered before being able to route SMS messages on their networks. This allows you to:
- Fight against identity theft and smishing : Prevent malicious third parties from using your brand name to spread scams or phishing.
- Guarantee consistent display : Ensure that your brand name (up to 11 GSM alphanumeric characters) is displayed identically and permanently to all mobile subscribers.
- Respect ANRT & CNDP legal compliance : Trace the legal issuer of transactional and marketing flows in compliance with the Moroccan regulatory framework.
Without official registration
Any message sent with an unregistered Sender ID is subject to carrier SMS firewall antispam heuristics.
How to register your Sender ID on EnvoiSMS.ma
Go to your customer area under Settings > Sender ID > New. The registration file requires the following 9 elements:
