Why do I need to register a Sender ID?

Moroccan operators (IAM, Inwi, Orange) require that any alphanumeric sender name (Sender ID) be declared and validated before it can be used on their networks. This allows you to:

• Fight against brand identity theft and SMS phishing (smishing)
• Ensure that your Sender ID is displayed correctly and consistently to all subscribers, regardless of their carrier
• Respect the traceability requirements imposed by the ANRT (National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency) in Morocco

Without registration

A message sent with an unregistered Sender ID may be blocked, delayed, or delivered with a generic sender name substituted by the carrier.

How to register your Sender ID

Go to Settings > Sender ID > New, indicate the desired name (3 to 11 alphanumeric characters, without spaces or special characters) and attach proof of your company name if requested. The validation time is generally 24 to 72 working hours depending on the operator.
