How the STOP SMS (Opt-Out) feature works
Moroccan legislation and operator policies require offering a simple means of unsubscribing for any promotional SMS.
Operation
- Each marketing campaign sent from the platform automatically includes the STOP mention and manages unsubscription without additional configuration
- Campaigns sent via the API require you to add the STOP mention yourself in the message body and process incoming STOP responses (see the Webhooks documentation)
- As soon as a contact responds STOP, their number is automatically blacklisted and will no longer receive any marketing messages, even in future campaigns
Transactional SMS
Transactional messages (OTP, order confirmations, security alerts) are not subject to the STOP obligation, because they are not considered commercial prospecting.
Remove a number from the blacklist
If a recipient wishes to resubscribe, contact support with their explicit written consent — manual removal from the blacklist is possible upon justified request.
