You have just launched a promotional campaign for Black Friday. Everything is ready in your backend, you start the script, but your API logs send you back a cascade of '403 Forbidden' errors or your messages remain blocked with a 'Rejected' status. Diagnosis is often uncalled: your Sender ID (the name of the sender that appears on your customers' phones) is blocked.
In Morocco, the use of a personalized Sender ID (alfanumeric, e.g. ‘MA MARQUE’) is not automatic. It is subject to manual and asynchronous validation by the three operators (Maroc Telecom, Orange and inwi).
Here’s what really happens behind the scenes when your Sender ID is rejected, and how to structure your request to be validated at first.
