Sending SMS to Maroc Telecom (IAM) — what you need to know

Maroc Telecom (IAM) is the historic operator and the largest in terms of subscriber share in Morocco. EnvoiSMS.ma reaches it through our local routes, with automatic failover between routes.

+212 661, 662, 666, 667, 668, 670–673, 676–678, 700 (indicative list, subject to change depending on ANRT allocation)

Points of attention

• IAM applies strict Sender ID filtering: an unregistered name may be blocked or substituted
• Very high volume campaigns sent at a peak can be temporarily regulated by the operator — EnvoiSMS.ma automatically smoothes sending to stay below the throttling thresholds
• Delivery reports (DLR) arrive after the message reaches the handset: in August 2026, the median time between sending and delivery confirmation was between 13 and 40 seconds

In the event of non-delivery to IAM

First check that the number is active (not canceled) and that the Sender ID used is validated for this operator, before opening a support ticket.
