Open the dashboard of your API provider or your own logs, and extract gross exports from the last 24 hours.
The rate of 'Failed' and 'Unknown' - If the rate of 'Failed' explodes (e.g.: >15%), it's a problem with List. Your database contains too many unallocated or terminated numbers. The operator rejects the inactive numbers. - If the rate of 'Unknown' or 'Rejected' explodes, it's a problem with Content or Sender ID. The operator willingly blocks your messages.
Diagnosis by operator Filter your logs by operator prefix: - Numbers starting with 0661, 0662, 0666 (Generally IAM) - Numbers starting with 0614, 0663 (Orange) - Numbers starting with 0600, 0633 (inwi)
Note: With number portability in Morocco, the prefix is no longer 100% guaranteed, but statistically on a large basis, it remains a reliable indicator.
If your delivery rate drops from 95% to 20% on the numbers 0661 but remains perfect on the others, the problem comes exclusively from Maroc Telecom (isolated network failure or blocking your Sender ID with that specific operator).
3. Time-to-Deliver Calculate the time between sending HTTP from your server and receiving the final DLR. Compare it with the per-carrier median published in our benchmark, measured the same way (up to the final report), rather than with a rule of thumb. If you find that 40% of your messages take more than 15 minutes, you are facing a network congestion problem (Throttling). The network limits your speed because you send too many messages at the same time over a period of high affluence.
Campaign Diagnosis (Neutral Message Test) If the problem seems widespread, perform Neutral Message Test: Send a very basic SMS (“This is a technical test”) from your account to 3 test numbers (1 IAM, 1 Orange, 1 inwi). If this message arrives instantly, then the network failure is eliminated. The drop in your delivery rate is caused by the content of your marketing message (blocked links, financial keywords).
