Multi-channel cascade and fallback routing
To guarantee maximum deliverability while optimizing your costs, EnvoiSMS.ma offers an automatic multi-channel cascade mechanism.
How the waterfall works
When multi-channel waterfall is enabled on your account:
- Priority attempt: The message is first sent on the most interactive or economical channel, typically WhatsApp.
- Failure detection: If the recipient does not have an active WhatsApp account or the message is not delivered within the set time.
- Automatic Fallback: The system automatically switches sending to the classic SMS channel to ensure that the recipient receives the message.
Use cases for OTPs
This mechanism is particularly useful for OTP verification codes: the user first receives their code on WhatsApp (enabling rapid copying and reduced cost), and in the event of rapid receipt failure, a backup SMS is immediately sent.
