Before launching EnvoiSMS, we needed to send SMS reliably in Morocco for our own business. Like many companies, we first tried international SMS platforms. The result: Moroccan numbers were treated as international traffic instead of local traffic. In practice, that meant unpredictable delivery delays, messages filtered by local carriers because the sender wasn't recognized locally, and pricing based on international rates instead of the real cost of sending an SMS inside Morocco.

Rather than settle for yet another intermediary, we decided to build a direct connection with Morocco's three carriers: Maroc Telecom (IAM), Orange Maroc, and inwi. It took time — paperwork, technical validation, testing on every network — but the result was worth it: our messages finally moved like real local SMS, with a speed and reliability no international platform could match.
